Where do you make your product?

Modern Routes designs product in Portland, Oregon after travel research.  Everything is made in a small, female-owned studio in India.  We work with them in their studio for about 1 month to create each collection.   It's a small, incredibly knowledgeable and talented team to work with, but....our favorite part is when we sit down to a group lunch!

We'll expand our offering as we meet artisans and makers around the world but will always ensure good working conditions and fair pay. 

What are the fabrications?

All fabrications selected are natural, breathable, easy care.  Some handbags are made of recycled water bottles.

How do I care for Modern Routes products?

All of our styles are machine washable.  We always recommend delicate wash and drying or line drying since anything will last longer that way!

When will my order ship?

We are a tiny team, but try to get orders out within one to two days.  If for some reason we are running behind....we'll let you know!

Everything ships from Portland, Oregon. 

Do you ship internationally?

Not at this time.   Please check back periodically as it is on our "To Do" list. 

What sort of shipping and packing materials do you use?

We use a compostable bag to keep products safe during transport and ship in recycled cardboard boxes or recycled paper envelopes.  We endeavor to avoid plastic as much as possible..... your extra button will be sewn into the side seam vs. in a little plastic bag.

What if I didn't get confirmation of my order?

Just check your junk or spam box.  If the confirmation isn't there......let us know using the Contact Us button or info@modernroutes.com and we're happy to help.

What is your return policy?

Just reach out at info@modernroutes.com.   We are happy to process your un-worn/ un-used return within 7 days of receiving the product.  Pls keep the original tags on for us.  We'll refund the full cost of the product and sales tax but cannot refund shipping expenses.  

Will you ever sell my email address?

No...full stop.
